Born on 10 January 1977 in Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region. Married, has two sons born in 2000 and 2006.
Professional activity
He graduated from Odesa State Medical University in 1999 with a degree in General Medicine. In 1999-2001, he completed an internship in surgery.
Since 2001, he has worked for 20 years in oncological surgery and oncology at the Odesa Regional Oncological Dispensary and the University Clinic of ONMedU, and has the highest qualification category in oncological surgery.
Member of associations: ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncologists), EUSOMA (European Breast Cancer Association), Ukrainian Association of Oncologists.
He completed on-the-job training in oncological surgery and breast plastic surgery at leading European clinics: National Institute of Surgery and Transplantation named after A.A. Shalimov (Kyiv), LISOD (Kyiv), Republican Clinical Oncological Dispensary of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan), National Institute of Oncology (Budapest), European Institute of Oncology (Milan).
He introduced modern methods of reconstructive breast surgery and the method of removing a sentinel lymph node at an early stage of breast cancer and skin melanoma (using 99mTc technetium radiopharmaceuticals).
Activities of a healthcare organiser
He holds a higher qualification category in Healthcare Organisation and Management. Since 2003, he has held the positions of Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Head of Departments at the Odesa Regional Oncological Dispensary and the University Clinic of ONMedU. From 2013 to 2017, he held the position of chief freelance oncologist at the Health Department of the Odesa City Council.
Research and teaching activities
From 2010 to 2018, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Oncology at ONMedU (part-time). He taught the subject to students, interns and trainees at thematic improvement courses. He was the scientific adviser of the winners of the All-Ukrainian Student Medical Scientific Conference.
Candidate of Medical Sciences. In 2014, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on "Optimisation of diagnostic algorithm in the system of clinical monitoring in women with breast tumours" (National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Kyiv).
